Verbos con "to" o con "-ING" en inglés

Es sabido que a media que aprendes inglés la complejidad de las palabras, oraciones y textos van a crecer también y cada vez el idioma te va a exigir más y más. Considerando lo anterior es necesario que aprendas cómo deben ser escritos ciertos verbos frente o seguidos de unos verbos especiales que indicaran si el verbo siguiente es infinitivo con to o con -ing, el cual va a estar en infinitivo. 

Verbos + To en inglés

want	plan	decide	try
hope	expect	offer	forget
need	promise	refuse	learn

Estos verbos deben ir seguidos por to para formar el infinitivo

ejemplos:

1. what do you want to know about me?
2. they planned to go fishing next weekend
3. she decides to buy unnecessary things
4. we will try to study harder for the next quiz

Verbos + -ing en inglés

enjoy	stop	suggest
mind	finish

Estos verbos deben ir seguidos por un verbo terminado en ing para formar el infinitivo en el idioma inglé

ejemplos:

1. we enjoy studying for nights (NO: we enjoy to study)
2. I stopped judging people to be happier (NO: I stopped to judge people to be happier)
3. she will suggest participating in the virtual forum (NO: she will suggest to participate in the virtual forum
4. would you mind getting off of my car? (NO: would you mind to get off of my car?

Verbos + to o ing en inglés

like	love	start	continue
prefer	hate	begin

Estos verbos pueden ir seguidos por to o -ing para formar el infinitivo, las dos formas son aceptadas con esos verbos.

ejemplos:

1. I like to dance a lot (I like dancing a lot)
2. she loved to work every morning (she loved working every morning)
3. will they start to tell the story or won't they? (will they start telling the story or they won't?)
4. he continues to learn the same lesson (he continues learning the same lesson)

Recuerden que las dos formas son aceptadas con esos verbos. Tengan en cuenta que esta son una lista de los verbos más usados en este tema, pero existe muchos verbos más que siguen estas reglas.
